How to interact with the map

• Each newspaper is represented using a dot on the map.
• The color of the dot is defined by its owner group.
• Hovering on a dot gives information about the newspaper.
• Selecting a newspaper will directly open his webpage in a new tab.
• Hide/show newspapers owned by a group by selecting the group in the legend.
• Use the tools on the right, to move, zoom, save and select point on the map.
• The broadcast groups are ordered by the mean distance of their newspapers to the group's center.

Axes interpretation

This map corresponds to the "axis 3-4" plot (for the tokens, USA based, without Townsquare media). In our analysis, we have identified the x-axis as the geographical scale of the subject discussed (state vs country) and the y-axis as the politic vs health topic (election vs covid).
